Commercial Potential

Los Secanillos is being sold ‘turnkey’ (with the exception of some prized possessions and personal effects), together with the adjacent finca ‘El Cercado’. It would be possible for the buyer to take up residence and enjoy the facilities immediately.

It is equipped as a small casa rural with conference, function, exhibition and concert facilities.  It would make an excellent country club and/or restaurant. Thus, it could be used for commercial purposes.  However, the current owners intended to live in the building and let rooms and the facilities on an occasional basis.  The building could be let  through an agency as a luxury villa, or venue for private events such as weddings and conferences.  It is an ideal venue for exclusive business seminars, offering skiing/golf as a recreational activity for conference members or partners. Granada is a great city in which to spend time shopping, with a wonderful café/tapas culture. Cycling, walking and photography are very popular in the valley.

Those wanting a desirable Andalucian estate could install a manager, or maintenance couple who might live in and manage the facility, whilst you would be free to occupy the extensive private parts of the building  whenever you choose, or take over the whole building for your own private house-parties. Such an arrangement would allow for flexibility and an income, which would meet the running costs.

Two future events include taking advantage of a balmy August evening with an open air concert in the courtyard with a renowned cellist and guitarist. This is being arranged as part of ‘The Music in the Mountains’ organisation. Then in late October an Autumn wedding is planned.

The joy of Los Secanillos is its flexibility, easy access from Granada or Malaga airports. – just 45 minutes from Granada airport on good, fast and scenic roads.  Granada airport is served by City Airport – making a weekend visit easy.

The Lecrin Valley remains an unspoilt  rural destination.  Indeed an article in The Daily Telegraph (dated April 2014) rated Andalucia number one of the world’s top twenty places for the good life. Los Secanillos is arguably the finest house in the whole valley, enjoying vistas of 360 degrees from a plateau overlooking many villages and with the Sierra Nevada mountain range as a back-drop.  Spectacular!
